2018 came and went in the blink of an eye and the New Year is almost here. We tend to celebrate with fireworks, loved ones, and resolutions that we, sometimes, follow. Regardless of how wonderful life seems, there are always goals we can set and ways to grow - especially in the world of real estate. Below are resolutions that every Real Estate Investor can and should stick to in the year 2019.
1. Reevaluate Your Investment Goals
The New Year is a great opportunity to step-back and take another look at both your short and long-term investment goals, especially if you’ve had a major change take place recently. Or, if you do not have any personal investment goals set, now is the perfect time to do so. Is 2019 the year you explore a new market or stick with your neighborhood niche? Will you begin the DIY renovation project you’ve always wanted or hire out for time management reasons? Will you search for your investment property with or without a Real Estate Agent? The answers to these questions could have changed since you’ve visited them last but could potentially shape the outcome of your investment.
2. Network With Those Who Can Help You
If you’ve let any professional relationships slip aside, this might be the year to reconnect. Or, maybe you’d like to meet new people altogether. Meeting others who have the same goals and matching skill-sets as you do, can do nothing but benefit you and your short and long-term investment goals. You might just meet your next business partner or close friend along the way! Here at Easy Street Capital, we offer many in-person events and meetups to help connect you with the right people. Unlike most networking events, these aren’t filled with boring PowerPoint presentations, but instead provide the opportunity to mingle with real-world influencers, contractors, and those that could potentially source your next deal. Plus, who doesn’t like free food?
3. Stay In the Loop
The world of real estate is constantly growing and changing, and it can be hard to keep up with the latest market trends. Plus, no matter how much experience you have, there is always so much to be learned. There are plenty of free resources available to you to help increase your real estate knowledge and expertise. We encourage our borrowers to follow us on our social handles where we share industry news, tips and tricks for your investment journey, and recent Easy Street Capital fundings that might just inspire your next big project. If you have any questions on hard money loans, or anything else in the changing world of real estate, please do not hesitate to reach out to us. You can follow us on Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn to stay in the loop.
